Dublin v 1.0.

One year ago (3/08/2008) I was leaving to Dublin with a group of 50 students (we didn't know each other) hat had won a scholarship. We were going to make some kind of an internship there & live with Irish families too for 7 weeks (the most amazing 7 weeks in my entire life; it was like being there for a year).

As in our first week we didn't have to work yet, we all did some tourism (as well as our English course). And of course, one of the first things we saw was the Guinness Storehouse (which is Ireland’s No. 1 international visitor attraction). I don't really like Guinness... (I loved the Storehouse, though), but in Ireland I drank for the first time Guinness with black currant (it adds sweetness to the Guinness, and I loved it!). Believe me, if you don't like Guinness, try it with black currant, you'll enjoy the drink!

I think that when you travel, you don't only get to know so many new & beautiful things and PEOPLE, but it also opens your mind. I think every trip changes us in some way; and then, there are trips that changes our lives forever... or at least that's the impression we have. They are so special, so meaningful, so important for us that we will always remember them with nostalgic and happiness. My trip to Ireland last summer is one of that trips. Some of the people I met on that trip are now an unquestionable part of my life. I will present some of them to you in the future, because I love their style too and so will you do. :-)
So here's my question for you girls... has any trip changed you, not only for the things you saw, but also for what you lived and the people you met?

I visited great places there and I will post some in the future. :-)

  2. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I live about half an hour outside Dublin in the countryside. Its so true what you say about travelling and how it can open your mind and give you a whole different perspective on life, I find I always come back with a different mindset when I've been on a holiday or a trip. Its fascinating to read how much you loved Ireland..if I'm honest I really don't like it all that much..maybe its because I've lived here all my life but I just find the people quite tiresome, it has limited opportunity's and its overall very dull.x

  4. This is so inspirative as always, Iris... You make me recalling my old memories again, about every trips I had done in the past. It's true that travelling is one way to widening your perspective, enrich your knowledge and sometimes give you more bravity. My longest trip ever was the one I made to Iceland and stayed there for a month... I got higher recognition about my passion to the nature there. And i'd love to travel more everytime I have another chance! Thanks for writing this - give me lots to reflect and think. :))
