(...From Madrid to heaven).

When I went to Milan in October, I mentioned that I saw an exhibition of photographs from Madrid (I was so excited to see it there (as it was unexpected), in the centre of Milan!). It started on the day I arrived to Milan and finished on November 8th.

The same images are now in Madrid: the exhibition "Madrid, región inédita".
Another similar exhibition is shown at the bar of The Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid (opened until January 15th, 2010; it's opened on Sundays too).
"This photographies are feelings that want to convey the beauty of a city and a region I am proud to be part of" - Fernando Manso said.
Casino de Madrid:

Pics taken from here.
"The Madrid sky has always been an unfailing source of inspiration for writers, painters, photographers and filmmakers. In the eyes of a creative artist, it is more than a mere back to our region's buildings and geography. The Madrid sky plays a central role in their art if taking on a life of its own. This exhibition is a captivating gallery of literary sketches of Madrid sky, drawn by major figures of Spanish culture such as Góndora, Unamuno, Azorín, Ramón y Cajal, Ramón Gómez de la Serna, Eugenio d'Ors, Mesonero Romanos, Dali, etc. The stunning photographs by Fernando Manso that illustrate this images invite us to look carefuly at a number of places and landmarks of the Madrid region, immortalized under skies both dramatic and serene. These pictures command forms of visual powers of evocation. They show why we madrileños have always found the Madrid sky to be yet another reason to be proud of the region in which we live". (Turism of Madrid).
Hope you have enjoyed a little of this stunning images. I wanted to make this post for all of you that live far from Madrid, as I find it a beautiful and different way of discovering it, as well as a great inspiration. It was for me, too. :) (I think it's also different and interesting as in any pic there's the sun, and Madrid is a very sunny city!).
I wish you all a nice week... thanks for all your love, visits and comments!
