5 things I love: etsy inspiration

As one of my goals for this year is being more organized, I've thought it would help me to have a routine here in the blog too. So Sundays will be for things I love, and hope they'll be sometimes inspirational, other times useful for you! (I did this kind of post before but I want to make a routine for them every Sunday).

Let's start with some Etsy love.

Uno de mis propósitos este año es ser más organizada y creo que tener una rutina en el blog me puede ayudar. Así que los domingos serán para las cosas que me gustan, y espero que os sirvan de inspiración, algunas veces, u os sean útiles! (Ya he hecho este tipo de post antes pero quiero dejarlo como una rutina el domingo).

Empezaré con cosas que me han gustado de Etsy.

Un dei miei buoni propositi quest'anno è essere più organizzata e credo che avere una rutina per il blog mi possa servire. Quindi le domenica saranno per le cose che mi piacciono, e spero vi servanno d'ispirazione, qualche volta, o vi sianno utili! (Ho fatto questo tipo di post prima ma ora voglio farlo tutte le domenica).

Iniziamo con delle cose che mi sono piaciute da Etsy.

1. Alexandra Grecco designs always make me dream and this blouse is one of the latest that did it...

2. Depeapa is one of my favourite shops in Etsy. I have the mustache necklace so if you saw it before in the blog, now you know where I got it. Aren't they just too cute? (Yes!).

3. I love satchels. This vintage, masculine satchel from goldenponies match so perfectly with the dress. Masculine-femenine love!

4. Love the collar of this 1930s dress from KinsaleGirl. Yes, more than 80 years! Can you imagine its history? :)

Jornada sobre moda y street-style

El pasado jueves, se celebraron (con aforo completo) en Madrid las primeras Jornadas sobre street style que organizó la EOI (Escuela de Organización Industrial) donde se quería analizar el fenómeno blogger y su papel en la moda 2.0.

Allí estuve con Isabel de My little suede shoes (la conocí en persona ese día y me hizo mucha ilusión! Si no la conocéis, visitadla, es genial:)) y después con Erea (que no hace falta que os diga que es genial porque ya lo sabéis;)). ¿Alguna de vosotras fue?

Gabriel Aldámiz, co-fundador de Chicisimo, habló de los inicios del portal donde compartir tus looks. Yo ya lo había oído en otra conferencia, pero para quien no lo sepa: Chicisimo se fundó porque su mujer, María, vió en San Francisco a un grupo de chicas que se juntaban todas las mañanas para hacerse fotos y subirlas a internet. Se dieron cuenta de que ya había mucha gente que lo hacía en internet, y esa es la idea de esta web: poder compartir, coger ideas sobre cómo combinar ciertas prendas, colores, etc., gracias a chicas de todo el mundo que suben sus looks.

Gabriel también habló de que muchas bloggers son mujeres emprendedoras y puso ejemplos como Adriana Ferret de Fashionisima, Beatriz Vera de Con 2 bolsas (y ahora con su tienda Soufflè), Isis con sus It shoes, La Condesa y en realidad muchas otras...

Bloggers: pasión + energía + empuje + iniciativa.

Belén de B a la moda fue otra de las ponentes. Realmente fue por la que me enteré de la conferencia y por la que me decidí a ir (quien no la conozca, es igual de genial o más que en su blog y le tengo un cariño muy especial). Contó su experiencia personal con el blog y me pareció muy útil y sincera por su parte. Empezó hablando de los objetivos que se marcó al empezar el blog, y siguió con algo que creo que es una de las cosas más importantes para cualquier cosa en la vida: sus valores. Cada uno de nosotros tiene que tener claro cuáles son nuestros valores básicos, y basar las decisiones que tomemos (en este caso hablamos del blog) en ellos.

Por lo tanto una de las cosas más importantes para que un blog funcione, según Belén, y en lo que estoy totalmente de acuerdo, es pensar bien en nuestros valores, en lo que nos hace especiales y por lo que la gente nos quiere, y potenciar eso. Si tomamos decisiones, ya sea de temática, publicidad, o cualquier otra cosa, tendremos que tener en cuenta que sigan por ese camino.

Laura Martín (@Laura_Publisher en twitter, os animo a seguirla, me pareció muy profesional y simpática) es periodista deportiva y además trabaja para Embelezzia y Trendencias Belleza. La verdad es que me ví identificada con ella, salvando las distancias, ya que ella es periodista y yo no, pero reconocí en ella lo que veo en mucha gente que se dedica a la moda, yo incluída, y es tener otro trabajo además de tu trabajo principal y el blog, lo que demuestra pasión por lo que haces y un gran trabajo detrás. Laura habló, entre otras cosas, de la importancia de "dar un poco más", de no dar la nota de prensa y ya está. Ese valor añadido que todos buscamos cuando visitamos cualquier blog, ¿por qué no dárselo al nuestro?

Helena López-Casares fue quizá la que más me sorprendió ya que no esperaba nada de su ponencia - no me malinterpretéis, no esperaba nada porque no la conocía. Ahora sé que es una grandísima profesional y comunicadora, lo demostró con creces el otro día.

Helena empezó explicando algo que ya sabemos, pero no está mal recordar: las marcas tienen ahora un diálogo con sus clientes, y eso es sumamente importante para entender el fenómeno blogger.

"Lo que interesa es ser protagonista de lo que está sucediendo" (Helena López-Casares).

"Exclusividad no tiene porqué ir parejo al precio, exclusividad es una sensación, una experiencia" (Helena López-Casares).

"No es ser humilde, es saber tener identidad. Tener identidad es tener conciencia. Tener conciencia es creer en uno mismo. Creer es la capacidad de crear y realizar sueños e ideas. Crear es crecer. Crecer es vivir!". (Helena López-Casares, frase tomada de internet de Mauricio Reyna).

María Eugenia Girón habló de la industria del lujo, del nuevo perfil del consumido de lujo en China, de la polarización del lujo, de combinar compras premium con productos low-cost... sinceramente fue una charla muy interesante, con datos e información que no sabía y creo que es bastante relevante para entender por qué de repente las marcas de lujo también están totalmente presentes en internet y con los bloggers.

"Las marcas de lujo anticipan sueños de mucha gente y los hacen realidad". (María Eugenia Girón).

Creo que lo más importante de las Jornadas es (a parte de la ¿influencia? de los blogs (y las redes sociales) en la manera de informarnos, del ¿hasta cuándo?), el mensaje positivo que todos los ponentes quisieron transmitir, aunque vinieran de especialidades diferentes dentro de la moda: todos tenían pasión por lo que hacían. El éxito no lleva a la felicidad, la felicidad es el combustible que te ayuda a llegar al éxito.

En definitiva, unas Jornadas de las que además me llevo reflexiones interesantes y útiles para el momento personal-profesional que estoy viviendo. Gracias a la organización por el trabajo que hizo!

look of the day: simple dress & glitter shoes

I received my first Frankie magazine this week and it won't be my last one: it's definitely more beautiful than what I expected. Lula and Frankie make a beautiful couple to be in my top favourite magazines. :) Do you know Frankie? (You can see their website here). Well of course it's not cheap to buy it from Spain but it's worth it. Even my mother (that doesn't speak English) told me "it's so you", just watching the pics. Yay!

Oh yes! Let's talk about the outfit. ;) I'm wearing a cute and simple dress, you can't see the sleeves in the pic but they are beautiful, so I'll show it better another day. This could be a day to day outfit to go to work. That's how I feel more comfy: wearing a dress, a cardigan and the glitter shoes are giving them a special touch.

Recibí mi primera Frankie (una revista australiana) esta semana y no será la última; es más bonita de lo que me esperaba. Lula y Frankie hacen una pareja muy bonita para estar en mi top de revistas favoritas. :) Conocéis Frankie? (Podéis visitar la web haciendo click aquí). La verdad es que no es barata para comprarla desde España, pero creo que merece la pena, ya que no hay nada así por aquí. Incluso mi madre (que no habla inglés) me ha dicho "es tan tú", simplemente viendo las fotos. Y tiene toda la razón.

Ah, sí! Hablando del outfit. ;) Llevo un vestido sencillo, no se ven las mangas pero es muy mono, os lo enseñaré mejor otro día. Este podría ser un look para ir a trabajar un día normal. Así es como me siento más cómoda: llevando vestido, cardigan, y el toque especial de los oxford glitter.

Ho ricevuto la mia prima Frankie (una rivista australiana) questa settimana e nn sarà l'ultima; è ancora più carina di quanto immaginavo. Lula e Frankie fanno una bella coppia per stare nel mio top di riviste favorite. :) Conoscete Frankie? (potete visitare la web cliccando qui). Beh, sì, nn è proprio economica per comprarla dalla Spagna, ma credo che lo merita. Anche mia madre (che nn parla l'inglese) mi ha detto "è tanto il tuo stile", semplicemente vedendo le foto. Ed ha ragione.

Ah, sì, devo parlare dell'outfit. ;) Porto un vestito semplice, nn si vedono le maniche ma è molto carino, ve lo farò vedere meglio un'altro giorno. Questo potrebbe essere un outfit per andare a lavoro qualsiasi giorno, è così come mi sento più a mio agio: con dei vestiti, un cardigan, ed il tocco speciale degli oxford glitter.

I like watching the new collections of the brands or designers that I love, but I love even more watching them in their editorials or lookbooks, like this one from Dear Creatures, where you can imagine (and daydream a little) yourself wearing their dresses. And of course, yes, I can imagine myself with all those pretty dresses too. ;) (And working styling them too:)).

Me gusta ver las nuevas colecciones de las marcas o diseñadores que me gustan, pero me gusta mucho más ver las editoriales o lookbooks, como ésta de Dear Creatures, donde puedes imaginarte (y de paso soñar un poco despierta) llevando sus vestidos.
Y sí, claro, yo también me puedo imaginar con esos vestidos tan monos. ;) (Y trabajando creando estilismos con ellos también:)).

outfit of the day: dahlia dress

Last weekend I met SAM at Lolina Vintage Café. We met in school years ago and we've met now thanks to fashion, it's been great to meet her again! She's an image consultant and fashion stylist too, and she writes the blog Fashion in the Street. She decided to start a section of interviews to bloggers with me, so you can read my interview in her blog here. Hope you like the pic we did in the café.

El fin de semana pasado quedé con una compañera del colegio en el Lolina Vintage Café, y allí estuvimos hablando de cómo la moda ha unido nuestros caminos de nuevo años después, os podéis imaginar la ilusión que tenemos las dos con esto! Susana (SAM en el blog) también es asesora de imagen y estilista y tiene su propio blog Fashion in the Street. Decidió inaugurar una nueva sección del blog de entrevistas a bloggers conmigo, así que podéis leer mi entrevista en su blog aquí. Os dejo una foto que nos hicimos en el café.

Lo scorso weekend ho incontrato una compagna di scuola al Lolina Vintage Café, e lì abbiamo parlato di tutto un po' e di come la vita ci ha unito di nuovo grazie alla moda, è stato davvero bello incontrarci di nuovo. Pepa Loves: Pintameldía

Estibaliz Hernández de Miguel es una artista e ilustradora autodidacta. No empezó apintar y dibujar hasta casi los treinta años. Desde entonces éste ha sido el camino expresivo que ha elegido. Anteriormente trabajó durante dos décadas en cosas relacionadas fundamentalmente con la industria musical. Actualmente vive con su familia en Bilbao y usa el nombre de Pintameldia para su trabajo.

- ¿En qué te inspiras normalmente para tus ilustraciones?

Mi inspiración suele estar en mis sueños y en la música que escucho, que evoca imágenes en mi cabeza de las que me es imposible escapar. A veces, algo que leo o una fotografía en el periódico tiene el mismo efecto. Cuando se trata de algún encargo, intento aplicar las imágenes que me rondan, como quien pone letra a una melodía. Desde hace ya algún tiempo me gusta tratar el tema de la magia, de la melancolía, de la comunicación, la feminidad, todo mezclado en unos trazos muy simples.

If you don't believe in resolutions, believe in your dreams

I love this dress so much I have worn it like a million times since I bought it. I can wear it in summer without tights and in autumn and winter with a cardigan or sweater.

Do you have any resolution for 2o12? I don't really like resolutions at all, I'm not good with them but I love day dreaming, and that's what I'll keep on doing. Of course I have thought some resolutions that I will focus on, but I think the most important thing is to do everyday something that you love and makes you smile.

I also wanted to thank you for the nice comments in my last post, they make me want to continue posting more outfit posts. :)

Me encanta este vestido, lo habré llevado mil veces desde que lo compré. Lo llevo en verano sin medias y en otoño e invierno con un cardigan o jersey.

Tenéis algún buen propósito para el 2012? A mi no me gustan demasiado, no se me dan bien, pero me encanta soñar despierta, y lo seguiré haciendo. Claro que tengo algún propósito en el que me centraré más, pero creo que lo más importante es cada día hacer algo que te guste y te haga sonreír.

Quería daros las gracias por los comentarios de mi mensaje anterior, me hacen querer seguir subiendo más outfit posts. :)

Mi piace tanto questo vestito, l'ho portato tipo mille volte da quando l'ho comprato. Lo porto senza calze in estate e con dei cardigan o una maglia in autunno ed inverno.

Avete qualche buon proposito per il 2012? A me nn piacciono specialmente, nn ne sono brava ma mi piace tanto sognare ad occhi aperti, e continuerò a farlo. Ovviamente ho qualche proposito in cui mi concentrerò di più, ma penso che la cosa più importante sia fare ogni giorno una cosa che ami e ti faccia sorridere.

Volevo anche ringraziarvi per i commenti del post precedente, mi fanno volere mettere più outfit post. :)

faux fur coat

I decided to do many more outfit pics this year so I have started with some!
I bought this faux fur coat from H&M about two weeks ago and I love it, love the different shades of gray and then the black colour, I think it gives the different touch to the outfit. You'll see it more often around here!

I hope you enjoyed your night yesterday. I'm having a relaxing evening today with my family, I don't have any holidays and will be back to the city center this week! So see you with more pics that I'll be doing there soon! Love x.

Compré este abrigo de pelo falso en H&M hace dos semanas y me encanta, me gusta el gris degradado con el negro, creo que le da el toque diferente al outfit. Lo veréis más a menudo por aquí!

Espero que disfrutárais la noche ayer. Yo estoy teniendo una tarde tranquila hoy con mi familia, no tengo vacaciones así que esta semana estaré de vuelta en el centro. Nos vemos con más fotos que haga allí! Besos!

I thought of taking inspiring images, or my favourite covers of this year, but I prefer to do it another day and just thank you today. Beefeater London Market Madrid

There are so many things to do these weeks in Madrid, it's even difficult to go to all the places you'd like to! This weekend we could enjoy a little bit of London with some stands of its markets (Camden, Portobello, Spitalfields...) at Beefeater London Market in Madrid.

I obviously loved seeing some of the famous stands from those markets in Madrid, but I missed the London atmosphere. They can bring the stands, but it's not the same. :)

Últimamente hay mil cosas que hacer en Madrid, ni siquiera da tiempo a ir a todo! Por suerte este fin de semana hemos podido disfrutar de un pedacito de Londres con puestos de sus mercados (Camden, Portobello, Spitalfields...) en el Beefeater London Market que se ha celebrado este fin de semana hasta hoy 18 de diciembre en Serrano, 127.

Obviamente me ha encantado ver algunos de los puestos míticos de los mercados londinenses en Madrid, pero sinceramente, yo he echado de menos el ambiente londinense. Y es que por mucho que traigan los puestos aquí, nunca será lo mismo, y menos en Serrano. ;)

Ultimamente ci sono tante cose da fare a Madrid, nn c'è nemmeno il tempo di andare a tutti i posti che vorresti! Questo weekend abbiamo potuto goderci un po' di Londra con alcuni stand dei mercati (Camden, Portobello, Spitalfields...) al Beefeater London Market a Madrid.
Ovviamente mi è piaciuto tanto vedere alcuni dei famosi stand di quei mercati a Madrid, ma mi è mancata l'atmosfera di Londra. Possono portare gli stand, ma non è la stessa cosa. :)

SORTEO 20 euros para Nomada Market

Nómada Market especial Navidades, la Feria de Diseño Independiente que se celebra los días 16, 17 y 18 de diciembre en el Ático de la Estación de Chamartín (atención a esto porque ya no se celebra en Atocha como años anteriores), en Madrid.

Desde Nomada Market quieren tener un detalle con los lectores de Iris loves fashion para estas fechas tan especiales y difíciles en temas económicos para muchos, y sorteamos un bono de 20 euros para gastar en un stand de la feria durante el sábado 16 o domingo 17.

Como sabéis desde hace varios años visito el Nomada (que se celebra desde hace seis años en Madrid) y siempre me gusta después contaros mis stands favoritos. Creo que es importante la labor que estos pequeños diseñadores independientes realizan, y más en tiempos como los que corren. “Gracias por comprar handmade, estás ayudando a los diseñadores independientes”.

Para elegir al ganador de los 20 euros necesito que me mandéis un email a iris@irislovesfashion.com con vuestro nombre y DNI. Mañana una web random elegirá al ganador y además de ponerlo aquí, se lo comunicaré por email. Necesito los datos que os he pedido porque es lo que os pedirán en el Nómada para comprobar que sois los ganadores. El sorteo cerrará mañana viernes 15 a las 22:00 para que haya tiempo de mandaros el email y tengáis todo el sábado y domingo libres para poder ir cualquiera de los dos días.

The Maderfaker (1996) actualmente es un club de Jazz-Funk (San Vicente Ferrer, 17, Madrid) de referencia dentro del circuito de bares de funk y música negra de Madrid. Dentro de este amplio panorama de música negra, Maderfaker se centra básicamente en la década de los setenta.
En las sesiones, se combinan con el funk ritmos como el dance floor jazz, soul o boogaloo.

BGP Trío Domingo 18 diciembre a las 19 hs

Desde una perspectiva contemporánea cercana al jazz y también a otras influencias vertidas por el bagaje musical de sus integrantes, nos sumergen en distintas experiencias musicales desde una estética de trío de jazz donde la improvisación y la interacción grupal se convierten en los pilares que sustentan su labor artística. Parten del folklore y la música autóctona argentina con un enfoque propio, tomando como fuente elementos de las raíces rítmicas y melódicas de los diversos estilos: zamba, tango, chacarera, baguala, vidala y chaya. One of the things I love the most from Madrid is that there's the sun and so much light even if it's cold.
The pics are from the November anyway, when one of my best friends, Tere from Caracas (Venezuela) was in Madrid and we enjoyed our time together. I was wearing the cute fox scarf and the lovely moustache necklace.
Today I realised I have animals in rings, sweaters, scarfs... yes, I love them!

Una de las cosas que más me gusta de Madrid es que hay sol y mucha luz aunque haga frío.
De todas formas, las fotos son de Noviembre, cuando una de mis mejores amigas, Tere de Caracas (Venezuela) estaba en Madrid y disfrutamos de los momentos juntas. Llevaba la bufanda del zorro y uno de mis collares preferidos.
Hoy me he dado cuenta de que tengo animales en anillos, jerseys, bufandas... sí, me encantan!

I don't usually post this but I thought it would be nice to show you some of my new stuff.
I had been looking for a pair of ankle boots for some months and I finally found the ones I needed. I bought the books in Rome (I love buying some book in my trips to remember it and I wanted some new books in Italian). You'll probably see the cute fox scarf soon in some of my outfit posts.

Normalmente no escribo este tipo de post pero he pensado que estaría bien enseñaros algunas de mis nuevas adquisiciones.
Llevaba buscando un par de botines desde hacía meses y por fín he encontrado el par que necesitaba. (mis botas anteriores terminaron rotas así que he decidido gastarme algo más y comprarme unas buenas). Los libros los compré en Roma (me encanta comprar libros en mis viajes, así lo recordaré, y además quería ya algún libro en italiano). Seguramente me veáis dentro de poco con la bufanda de zorro (no os parece una monada?) en algún post.

Normalmente nn scrivo questi post ma ho pensato che sarebbe carino mostrarvi i miei nuovi acquisti. Ho cercato un paio di stivaletti per mesi e finalmente ho trovato quelli di cui avevo bisogno. I libri li ho comprati a Roma (mi piace tanto comprare dei libri nei miei viaggi per ricordarli e volevo qualche nuovo libro in italiano). La sciarpa della volpe (nn vi sembra carinissima?) la vedrete sicuramente prossimamente in qualche altro post.

From the first moment I visited it in 2002, Rome it's been one of those cities where I feel like at home. A caos, but a caos that you love. Pasta, mozzarella di bufala, pizza... wonderful art everywhere... and so many turists. But most of all it's hugs, smiles when I'm with my friends there. Like last weekend, when I was there with some of my best friends, from Italy, Belgium, Spain and Venezuela. Those moments are magical... Love you so, girls!
I'm sorry if I'm a little out from your blogs these days, I've been really busy and I'm moving next week so I'm planning everything this weekend. I promise I'll be back to your blogs soon:)

Desde la primera vez que la visité en el 2002, Roma se ha convertido en una de esas ciudades donde me siento como en casa. Un caos, pero un caos que amas. El sabor a pasta, la mozzarella de bufala, la pizza... arte increíble en todas partes... y muchos turistas. Pero sobre todo los abrazos, las sonrisas cuando me junto con mis amigos allí. Como la semana pasada, cuando pasé un fin de semana genial con algunas de mis mejores amigas, de Italia, Bélgica, España y Venezuela. Son momentos mágicos... love you girls!!
Perdonad si estoy un poco ausente de los blogs últimamente. Estoy bastante liada y preparando la mudanza este fin de semana. Prometo que volveré a vuestros blogs pronto!
Por cierto, el jersey de renos de las últimas fotos es de Pepa Loves. No os encanta? A mi sí:)

Soy Macarena Gea, tengo 29 años y vivo en Valencia. Soy arquitecta y hace algo más de dos años monté mi propio estudio junto a dos socias, juntas somos “três studio” (www.tres-studio.es) y,paralelamente, mi pasión por la Moda me llevó a crear mi propio blog (www.macarenagea.com) donde, además de Moda me gusta tratar también otros temas que me apasionan como la decoración o el mundo nupcial.

- ¿Te ha cambiado la vida abrir tu blog? ¿Hay algo a lo que estés especialmente agradecida?

Desde luego, tengo muy claro que mi vida tal cual es a día de hoy hubiese sido completamente imposible si aquella ya lejana tarde de marzo de 2007 no me hubiera decidido a pinchar en ese botón que decía “crea tu blog AQUÍ”.

Tengo que estar agradecida a TODO lo que ha traído consigo el blog y, sobre todo, a TODOS los que me han apoyado y me siguen apoyando en este camino; especialmente a los lectores que me acompañan desde detrás de la pantalla cada día y sin los cuales tengo muy claro que NADA
de esto sería posible.

1. Julia from La Belle Oiselle. I'm sure the colour of her dress is the favourite of many of you for Autumn! B says her bag is ugly, Julia loves it. Best thing is that almost everything is thrifted.
2. Valentine from Hello it's Valentine. I've been attracted by pink lately, but always mixed with black! Love the femenine dress + masculine blazer. Also note the red touch of her nails. J'adore! ;)
3 & 4. Student in Tokyo by Fashion Japan. Don't you just love the Dr Martens and think her phone cover is too cute?
5 & 6. Eva by The Locals. Well, yes! Asian girls are such an inspiration! We could talk about the inspiration for the whole outfit. But I think the hat makes the outfit even better! The close-up is crazy. :)
7. Steffy from Steffys Pros and Cons. I would put every single of Steffys outfits in my inspirations so you'd better check out her blog if you don't know her yet;) She always has the best effortlessly combinations.

When I was in London last month, I visited the wonderful Orla Kiely shop and enjoyed seeing her clothes and bags... unfortunately they are so expensive for me and just bought the "Pattern" book! What to say about it? It's just a great inspiration! Yes, I'm definitely an Orla Kiely girl! ;)

Quando sono stata a Londra il mese scorso, ho visitato il bellissimo negozio di Orla Kiely ed ho potuto ammirare i suoi vestiti e le sue borse... purtroppo è caro per me ed ho solo comprato il libro "Pattern". Cosa dire? E' una grandissima ispirazione! Sì, definitivamente sono una Orla Kiely girl! ;)

I bought the dress I am wearing in the pics in Top Shop in Oxford Street (no doubt it's one of my favourite shops). The areas I love the most in the shop are vintage and designers. The dress is from Dahlia, I didn't know the shop before and when I came back to Madrid I looked at their web and instantly fell in love with all their designs, so I will talk about it very soon!
I made all the pics in my trip to London about a month ago... I am so in love with that city and hope you like them!

El vestido que llevo en estas fotos lo compré en Top Shop de Oxford Street (sin duda una de mis tiendas favoritas). Las zonas que más me gustan son la vintage y la de los diseñadores. Ahí es donde compré el vestido, de Dahlia. Antes no la conocía así que al volver a Madrid decidí visitar su web y me he enamorado de todos sus diseños, así que pronto hablaré de ella por aquí.
Hice todas las fotos en mi viaje a Londres hace un mes... estoy enamorada de esa ciudad y espero que os gusten!

Il vestito che porto nelle foto è di Top Shop in Oxford Street (nn c'è dubbio che è uno dei miei negozi favoriti). Le zone che mi piacciono di più sono le vintage e quella per i designers. Il vestito è di Dahlia, non la conoscevo prima ma quando sono tornata a Madrid l'ho cercata e mi sono subito innamorata dei suoi disegni, quindi ne parlerò presto qui!
Ho fatto tutte le foto nel mio viaggio a Londra un mese fa... sono innamorata di quella città e spero vi piacciano!

It seems fall has finally arrived to Madrid too, and I love it! Well yes, we also need some water in Spain!
I love wearing clothes that I've bought in some of my trips, it makes me remember special moments and places that in some way come back to me when I wear them. (I'm obviously the only one knowing this, but it's enough for making me feel good and remember how lucky I am to have lived those moments). Does it happen to you too?
The shorts are from Zara, they actually have some suspenders but I decided to wear them with this jumper from American Apparel I'm sure you saw to many bloggers last winter, didn't you? I bought it in Spring after my NY trip so it has waited 'til the summer was over in my closet, but I think that I will use it a lot now that I can finally wear it.

Parece que por fín el otoño (climatológicamente hablando) ha llegado a Madrid también, y me encanta! Sí, también en España necesitamos un poco de agua!
Me encanta llevar prendas que he comprado en alguno de mis viajes, me hace recordar momentos y sitios especiales que de alguna manera vuelven a mí al ponérmelas. (Obviamente esto lo sé solo yo, pero me es suficiente para sentirme bien y recordar lo afortunada que soy por haber vivido esos momentos). ¿Os para a vosotros también?

Los shorts que llevo son unos que vendían con tirantes en Zara hace tiempo. He decidido ponérmelos con este jersey de American Apparel que seguro visteis a un montón de bloggers el pasado invierno, verdad? Me lo compré en primavera después de mi viaje a NY así que ha tenido que esperar a que pasara el verano guardado en mi armario, pero creo que ahora que por fín puedo empezar a usarlo lo veréis bastante por aquí!

Sembra che l'autunno sia finalmente arrivato a Madrid, sono contenta! Eh già, anche in Spagna abbiamo bisogno di un po' d'acqua!
Mi piace portare dei vestiti che ho comprato in qualcuno dei miei viaggi, mi fa ricordare dei momenti e dei luoghi che in qualche modo tornano a me quando li porto. (Ovviamente questo lo so solo io, ma è sufficiente per sentirmi bene e ricordare quanto sono fortunata per aver visuto quei momenti). Succede anche a voi così?
I short sono di Zara, in realtà hanno delle bretelle, ma ho deciso di portarli con questo maglione di American Apparel che sono sicura avete visto in inverno ad altre blogger, vero? L'ho comprato in primavera dopo il mio viaggio a NY e quindi ha aspettato tutta l'estate nel mio armadio fino a quando ho potuto portarlo. Mi sa che lo userò abbastanza...

Nadinoo is one of the most beautiful discoveries I've done thanks to bloggers I read. I've loved it since I started blogging but never posted about it here before.
Two of my favourite bloggers, Ale from Rosaspina Vintage and Ashley from Fancy Fine, wrote beautiful posts about her experience with Nadia, Nadinoo's amazing designer (here and here) with her.
The fabrics and patterns from this Autumn 11 collection are so beautiful, aren't they? The prices are expensive for my budget but dreaming is free and I know I will save some money to get myself one sometime, they're worth it. ;)

Nadinoo es uno de los descubrimientos más bonitos que he hecho gracias al mundo blogger. Me encanta desde que empecé con el blog pero nunca la había mencionado antes aquí.
Dos de mis bloggers favoritas, Ale de Rosaspina Vintage y Ashley de Fancy Fine escribieron post muy bonitos (podéis leerlos aquí y aquí) de su experiencia con Nadia, la increíble diseñadora detrás de Nadinoo.

Los tejidos y estampados de esta colección de Otoño 11 son preciosos, verdad? Los precios son caros para mi presupuesto pero soñar es gratis y creo que ahorraré un poco para comprarme uno algún día. ;)

Nadinoo è uno dei più belli scoperti che ho fatto grazie ai blogger che leggo. L'adoro da quando ho iniziato il blog ma penso di non aver mai parlato di lei qui.
Due delle mie blogger preferite, Ale di Rosaspina Vintage e Ashley di Fancy Fine hanno scritto dei post carinissimi (potete leggerli qui e qui) della sua esperienza con Nadia, l'incredibile designer di Nadinoo.

I tessuti ed i disegni di questa collezione di Autunno 11 sono bellissimi, nn pensate? I prezzi sono cari per il mio budget ma sognare è gratis e mi sa che risparmierò un po' per comprarme uno qualche giorno, lo merita. ;)

flaming 80s flea market & friends

Saturday 8th of October I went for the first time (finally!) to my first Flaming Flea Market & Friends of Demodé Vintage. Rosana has created a wonderful world around DV, and I'm sure it'll be just the first of many ones!

Moreover, we also celebrated her birthday, so apart of friends + vintage as usual, gifts (for everyone, thanks Rosana!) and a cake were added.

El sábado día 8 tuve el placer de (por fín!) asistir a mi primer Flaming Flea Market & Friends de Demodé Vintage. Rosana ha creado un mundo precioso alrededor de DV, y desde luego que va a ser el primero de muchos!
Además celebramos su cumpleaños, por lo que a los amigos + vintage habituales, se sumaron regalos (para todos, gracias Rosana!) y tarta.

Sabato 8 ottobre sono stata per la prima volta (finalmente!) al Flaming Flea Market & Friends di Demodé Vintage. Adolie Day illustration - interview (+Pepa Loves)

A few weeks ago I was contacted to collaborate with the blog of Spanish brand Pepa Loves. If you know my style a little bit, you'd already guess it goes with me a lot so I accepted!
Well, from today you can see my first post, a little interview to the great French illustrator Adolie Day.

Hace poco me propusieron colaborar en el blog de la marca española Pepa Loves. Si conocéis mi estilo un poco ya sabréis que va mucho conmigo así que acepté encantada!
Pues bien, desde hoy podéis ver mi primer post, una pequeña entrevista a la genial ilustradora francesa Adolie Day.

Poco tempo fa mi hanno proposto collaborare nel blog della marca spagnola Pepa Loves. Se conoscete il mio stile un po' saprete che va tanto con me, quindi ho accettato volentieri!
Beh, da oggi potete vedere il mio primo post, una piccola intervista alla bravissima illustratrice francese Adolie Day.

* Adolie, cuéntanos algo sobre tí.

Soy una ilustradora freelance desde hace tres años, antes de eso trabajé como diseñadora textil (dos años) para Kenzo kids y otras marcas.
Mis ilustraciones se inspiran en los cuentos, es una especie de pequeño sueño del país de las maravillas donde a veces hay personajes melancólicos y princesas tristes... pero con mucha dulzura, es parte de mí. Realmente sueño con libros preciosos, bonitos objetos y colaboraciones.
Hago retratos de chicas surrealistas y retro con corderitos y mariposas en el pelo, con una flor como vestido y pájaros amantes en la cabeza. Es un pequeño mundo poético y bonito.
Trabajo en edición, publicidad, exposiciones, ilustraciones en papel, joyas...

* Adolie, tell us something about yourself.

I'm a freelance illustrator since 3 years, before that I worked as textil designer (2 years) for Kenzo kids and other brands.
My illustrations are inspired of fairy tale, it's a sort of little wonderland dream with sometimes melancholic characters and sad princess... but with a lot of sweetness, it's a part of me. Actually i dream about some lovely books, cute objects and collaborations.
I make surrealist and retro girls portrait with lambs and butterflies in her hair, with flower like a dress and lover birds on her head. It's a poetic and cute little world.
I work in edition, advertising, exhibitions, papermill, jewellry...

What should I wear by Mango preview

Last Wednesday we were invited by Mango (thanks!!) to the preview of the new season of "What should I wear". The tv show (shown in the Mango web) will have 6 episodes, of 10 minutes each, and it will be available in 10 languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Turkish, Russian, Polish, Chinese, Japanese and Arabian. A new episode will be seen on Thursdays at What should I wear by Mango.

Moreover, Andy from Stylescrapbook appears as guest start in one of the episodes (she does a great job!). The idea of creating a new TV show by the brand is pretty good (I love Mango and I saw some dresses that will be waiting for me!), but honestly, I think they would improve some details as the script.

El miércoles pasado Mango nos invitó (gracias!!) al preestreno de la nueva temporada de "Qué me pongo". La serie (que se ve en la web de Mango) constará de 6 episodios, de unos 10 minutos de duración, y algo que me ha llamado la atención es que estará disponible en 10 idiomas: inglés, español, alemán, francés, turco, ruso, polaco, chino, japonés y árabe. Cada jueves podréis ver un nuevo episodio en Que me pongo by Mango

Lo que une a todo esto con el mundo blogger, es que Andy de Stylescrapbook actúa en uno de los episodios (y hace un trabajo genial!).

La idea de crear una serie de ficción para enseñar la ropa de la nueva temporada me parece muy buena (me encanta Mango y algunos vestidos me estarán esperando!), y más aún que la primera marca en hacerlo sea una marca española pero sinceramente, creo que deberían cuidar más algunos detalles como el guión.

Para ver un video genial sobre lo que pasó allí, podéis ver el video al final de este post. El video lo grabó un chico que conocí ese día y hace unas fotos increíbles: JJ de la Torre de You Take Me.

After watching the entire season, Sue, Cynthia and I went to talk to Andy. I read her blog since a long time ago and I think she really deserves what's happening to her. She was so nice and close... she has something special that she spreads, and I love it!

Después de ver la temporada de la serie, Sue, Cynthia y yo nos acercamos a hablar con Andy. Sigo su blog desde hace bastante tiempo y creo que se merece todo lo bueno que le está pasando. Me pareció muy simpática y cercana... además nos inyectó a todas un montón de positividad y energía, tiene algo especial que se contagia, y me encanta!

Dopo vedere tutta la stagione, Sue, Cynthia ed io siamo andate a parlare con Andy. Leggo il suo blog da tempo e penso che merita tutto ciò che gli sta succedendo. E' stata molto carina e vicina... ha qualcosa di speciale che trasmette, e mi piace tanto!

I have like tons of post to come and pics to show you, but today I'd better share some pics of my favourite stands in Nomada Market, an important and beautiful Independent Design Market that is taking place since today and 'til Sunday in Madrid. Hope you like them too!

Which one has been your favourite?

Tengo un montón de post pendientes y muchas fotos que enseñaros, pero quería enseñaros esto hoy. He ido al Nomada Market y tengo que reconocer que me ha sorprendido muy positivamente. La última vez que estuve no me convenció del todo pero esta vez he visto cosas diferentes, especiales, muy buen ambiente y también he conocido a diseñadoras e ilustradoras muy simpáticas. Además, se nota que le ponen todo el cariño a su trabajo y eso se agradece tanto! He decidido enseñaros detalles de mis stands favoritos de esta edición.

Corinne Day - The Face exhibition

Seeing Corinne Day - The Face exhitibion in London was a bit of a dream come true. Since Elena talked us about her in our photography class in my fashion course, Corinne is one of my favourite photographers. Corinne had worked as a model in the 1980s. She knew first hand that there was an enormous gap between the lifestyles depicted in the magazines and reality, and she wanted to close that gap.
I hope you like the pics I did there and can enjoy a bit of the way of finding the beauty in unusual places. There's no doubt she did it in a great way.

Ver la exposición de Corinne Day - The Face en Londres ha sido un pequeño sueño hecho realidad. Desde que en clase de fotografía del máster Elena nos hablara de ella, Corinne es una de mis fotógrafas favoritas.
Corinne había trabajado de modelo en los 80 y sabía de primera mano que había una enorme diferencia entre el estilo de vida que se enseñaba en las revistas y la realidad, y quería que esa distancia fuese más pequeña.
Espero que os gusten las fotos que hice en la exposición y podáis disfrutar un poco de esa manera de encontrar la belleza en lugares poco comunes. Sin duda ella lo hacía de un modo genial.

Vedere la mostra di Corinne Day - The Face a Londra è stato un po' un piccolo sogno. Da quando ci hanno parlato di lei nella classe di fotografia, Corinne è una delle mie fotografe preferite.
Corinne aveva lavorato come modella negli anni 80 e sapeva di prima mano che c'era una grande differenza tra lo stile di vita che si vedeva nelle riviste e la realtà, e voleva che quella distanza fosse più piccola.
Spero vi piacciano le foto che ho fatto nella mostra e possiate apprezzare la maniera di trovare la bellezza nei luoghi poco comuni. Non c'è dubbio che lei lo faceva in un modo geniale.

Madrid Fashion Week: the showroom

Catwalks are obviously the main part but are not everything you can find in Madrid Fashion Week. There are new designers to be discovered and since I love to find out new designers and talents, I took pics of some of my favourites at the showroom!

En la Fashion Week de Madrid no todo son desfiles. Hay nuevos diseñadores que ser descubiertos, y como me encanta descubrir nuevos diseñadores y talentos, tomé fotos a algunos de mis favoritos en el showroom!

Nella Fashion Week di Madrid, anche se la maggior parte, nn sono tutte sfilate. Ci sono dei nuovi designer da essere scoperti, e sicomme mi piace scoprire dei nuovi designer e talenti, ho fatto qualche foto ad alcuni dei miei preferiti!

This lovely shy lady was wearing the scarf of their brand Suturno as a turbant.

Esta tímida y encantadora mujer llevaba un pañuelo de su marca Suturno como turbante.

Questa adorabile e timida donna portava un foulard della sua marca Suturno come turbante.

Amora is a brand with an adorable Argentinian designer behind it. I have seen her designs before at Kling and instantly fell in love with them (I bought a necklace time ago), but didn't know who made them. When I saw them at the showroom of the EGO in Madrid Fashion Week I couldn't believe it. She was so kind and explained us some new designs she has been doing. I'll get on her trail so I will keep you posted about them for sure. :)

Amora es una marca con una adorable diseñadora argentina detrás. Ya había visto sus diseños en Kling y me había enamorado de ellos (había comprado un collar hace tiempo), pero no sabía quién los hacía. Cuando los ví en el showroom del EGO en Cibeles no podía creérlo. Fue súper simpática y nos explicó algunos productos nuevos que había hecho. Le seguiré la pista así que seguro que ya os pondré al día sobre ellos. :)

Amora è una marca con una adorabile designer argentina dietro. L'avevo già visto a Kling e mi ero innamorata dei suoi disegni (ho pure comprato una collana tempo fa) ma non sapevo chi le facesse. Quando le ho viste al showroom del EGO nella Fashion Week di Madrid non ci credevo. E' stata simpaticissima e ci ha spiegato alcune delle nuove cose che ha fatto. Sarò sulla sua pista quindi vi communicherò delle news presto. :)

Kina Fernandez: the backstage II

After the great work a team: here are the final touches, and the atmosphere from the backstage.

The inspiration of this Kina Fernandez spring-summer 2012 collection are the details, colours, combination and textures that come from moments, sensations, memories from a trip to Leh, a city lost in the heart of Himalaya, and caotic Varanasi, in India.

The colours: metallic-green and grey, pale pink and acid-green, blue, red... as you can see in the pictures we also find gold complementing the rest.

Silks, natural and light volumes, short dresses.

What we find is a sexy collection with so much light on it. It's definitely a way in which we haven't thought of India before: it's different and fresh.

PS. I still love the blue eyeshadows and the braids!

Después del gran trabajo de un equipo: aquí tenéis los retoques finales, y la atmósfera desde el backstage.

La inspiración de esta colección de primavera-verano 2012 de Kina Fernández: detalles, colores, mezclas y texturas que vienen de momentos, sensaciones, recuerdos que quedan después de un viaje a Leh, una ciudad perdida en el corazón del Himalaya y la caótica Varanasi, en la India.

Colores: verde metálico y gris, rosa palo y verde ácido, azul, rojo... además como podéis ver en las fotos encontramos el dorado complementando el resto.

Sedas, volúmenes naturales y vaporosos, vestidos cortos.

En resumen, encontramos una colección ligera, sexy y con mucha luz. Desde luego es una manera en la que no habíamos pensado en la India antes: es diferente y fresca.

PD. Me siguen encantando las sombras azules para los ojos y las trenzas!

Dopo il grande lavoro di una squadra: qui avete i tocchi finali, e l'atmosfera dal backstage.

L'ispirazione di questa collezione primavera-estate 2012 di Kina Fernandez: i detagli, i colori, la combinazione e le trame che vengono dai momenti, sensazioni, ricordi che a sua volta vengono da un viaggio a Leh, una città persa nel cuore del Himalaya, e la caotica Varanasi, in India.

I colori: verde metallizzato e grigio, rosa pallido e verde acido, blu, rosso... come potete vedere nelle foto troviamo anche dorato complementando il resto.

Sete, volumi naturali e leggeri, vestiti corti.

Troviamo una collezione leggera, sexy e con tanta luce. E' definitivamente una maniera in cui non avevamo pensato nella India prima: è diversa e fresca.

PD. Io continuo ad amare l'ombretto blu per gli occhi e le treccie!

Madrid Fashion Week: the backstage

One of the most special things about Madrid Fashion Week has been seeing a little part of the great work models and all the people that work around them do in the backstage for the runway to be a success!

Una delle cose più speciali nella Fashion Week di Madrid è stato vedere una piccolissima parte del grande lavoro che le modelle e la gente che lavora intorno a loro fa nel backstage per far la passerella un successo!
Mi sono piaciute tanto: le treccie ed il bellissimo ombretto blu per gli occhi.

Una de las cosas más especiales de la Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week ha sido ver una pequeñísima parte del gran trabajo que las modelos y la gente que trabaja a su alrededor hace en el backstage para que el desfile sea un éxito. Nervios, risas, prisas, profesionalidad, organización... todo para que en un rato quede todo perfecto.
Me encantaron: las trenzas y las sombras de ojos azules.

NYFW: Rachel Antonoff spring 2012

I wanted to write about some of my favourite NYFW designers, but then I thought you probably have already seen so many things about them. And when I saw Rachel Antonoff spring 2012 presentation I knew I had to write about her. Rachel's presentations are so creative and unusual: the inspiration of this one came from Minnie Mouse fused with Wednesday Addams and the haunted house sets were illustrated by Alia Penner. Aren't they just wonderful?

She was asked by Fashionista if will she ever do a runway show and she answered: "You know I was actually thinking about doing a show because it’s only like 15 minutes, and it seems like it would be so much easier than all of this!” But she added, “For me, a presentation gives me the chance to really let people into the world that exists in my head, the world where the clothes really come from. It’s showing people that world, that really makes me love what I do."

Volevo scrivere su qualche mio designer preferito della NYFW, ma poi ho pensato che sicuramente avrete già visto tanti di loro. E quando ho visto la presentazione di Rachel Antonoff spring 2012 sapevo che dovevo scrivere su quella. E' stata domandata da Fashionista se farebbe mai un runway show ed ha risposto che stava proprio pensandoci perché sono solo 15 minuti, e sembra che sarebbe molto più facile che tutto ciò! Però poi ha aggiunto: "Per me, una presentazione mi da l'opportunità di lasciare veramente alla gente nel mondo che esiste nella mia testa, il mondo dal quale vengono gli abiti. E' mostrando la gente quel mondo che mi fa amare quello che faccio".

Quería escribir sobre alguno de mis diseñadores favoritos de la NYFW, pero depsués pensé que seguramente habríais visto ya mucho sobre ello. Y cuando he visto la presentación de Rachel Antonoff spring 2012 sabía que tenía que escribir sobre ella. Las presentaciones de Rachel son muy creativas e inusuales: la inspiración de ésta viene de la fusión de Minnie Mouse con Miércoles Addams y Alia Penner ha sido la ilustradora de los sets de las casas encantadas. No pensáis que son preciosas?

Desde Fashionista le preguntaron si alguna vez haría un desfile y respondió que estaba justamente pensando en ello porque solo son 15 minutos y sería mucho más fácil que todo eso! Pero después añadió: "Para mí, una presentación me da la oportunidad de dejar a la gente en el mundo que existe en mi cabeza, el mundo del que viene la ropa. Es mostrando a la gente ese mundo que me hace amar lo que hago".

I'm really so glad to post this interview as it's the first one I've done to a photographer (yay!) and I really admire her work. Some of you probably recognise some pics from Ruche lookbooks (I decided to post only Ruche pictures in this post - and will post some wedding pictures in the future)... I still remember when I first saw the pics in the Ruche website and I fell in love with them. I couldn't stop looking at them, their beautiful light and I had to know who helped to make that!
Well, if you keep on reading you'll know some things about the photographer of those wonderful pics! Hope you like it!

- Where are you from & live? / age.
I’m currently 28, and I was born and still live in sunny Orange County, California.

- Since when are you a photographer?
I’ve been interested in photography since I was in high school, and I’ve been photographing professionally for 5 years.

- Stephanie, is it you and your husband Isaac who work together for this proyect. Can you please tell us, do both of you take the pics or do you make different things?
My husband Isaac and I photograph weddings together as a team and work together in our office editing photos, answering e-mails and all the day to day studio work. For fashion and editorial work, I shoot while Isaac assists.

- Which camera (+lenses) do you use?
I shoot with a Canon 5D mark II and Contax 645 for film shots. We shoot with a variety of lenses, but my favorite is the 80mm 1.2

- "Liz + Michael engagement" & "Ruche early spring" have the same location (it's in other sessions too!). For which session did you know that place first? Other people saw it after that and asked you to make pics there or was it your choice?
We are always on the lookout for places to shoot… constantly scouting! We knew of this place and once the persimmons were almost at their peak, we planned several shoots before they harvested the persimmons.

- Do the couples choose the locations, wear the props, etc., or is it you who tell them?
Our couples usually ask us to pick the location. They’ll let us know if they want to bring any props and they choose what clothes to wear.

- What is your dream job?
Shooting for Anthropologie or J.Crew.

- Where do you find inspiration?
Everywhere! By looking through fashion magazines, taking a walk in nature, watching films with stunning cinematography, looking at textures and colors…inspiration is really all around us once we start looking and dreaming.

- What do you think it's the most important thing to take into account in a photography?
The light is most important in photography!

- Your favourite photographer.
Tim Walker.

- Best advice you have received.
Find a way to make a living by doing what you love.

Would you share with us a recipe you love?

Mini burgers:

What you need:
- Meat for hamburgers
- Cheddar
- Quail eggs
- Small round breads
Preparation:
- Cook all the meat in small pieces (half of a normal burger, deppending on the bread) and add the pieces of cheese while they're still hot so it'll melt a bit.
- Meanwhile, make the little fried eggs. It is a bit more complicated than the regular thing since this kind of eggs are harder to break.
- Toast the bread a little bit, and put everything together! You can also add little slices of bacon if you like :)

Lately I think a lot about how lucky I am to have been educated by my family in the way they did it. We don't imagine how little details in our life can affect other people. And I mean, little details as giving a smile to others, help someone (being a stranger or someone you already know), say thanks or give your seat in the subway. I hear many people complaining that the world is getting worse but actually, do they make anything to change it? Every change starts inside us, with our closer people, and only then it will grow.

Ultimamente penso spesso quanto sono fortunata di essere stata educata così dalla mia famiglia. Non immaginiamo quanto i piccoli dettagli della nostra vita possano affettare altre persone. E voglio dire, piccoli dettagli come sorridere agli altri, aiutare qualcuno (sia una persona che non conosci o che conosci già), dire grazie o lasciare il nostro posto nella metro. Ascolto molte persone che si lamentano perché il mondo va sempre peggio. Ma davvero, fanno qualcosa per cambiarlo? Tutti i cambiamenti iniziano dentro di noi, con la gente più vicina, e solo poi crescerà.

Últimamente pienso cuán afortunada soy porque mi familia me haya educado así. No nos imaginamos cómo pequeños detalles en nuestra vida pueden afectar a otras personas. Y quiero decir, pequeños detalles como sonreir a los demás, ayudar a alguien (ya sea a un extraño o a alguien que ya conoces), dar las gracias o ceder nuestro asiento en el metro. Escucho a muchas personas que se quejan de que el mundo está cada vez peor. Pero de verdad hacen algo para cambiarlo? Todos los cambios empiezan dentro de nosotros, con la gente más cercana, y solo después crecerán.

September issue inspiration: Vogue Japan

I guess I am not the only one dreaming with autumnal clothes, am I? I have seen some Vogue Japan issues at our Fashion Styling course when we saw the main world Vogues, but I had never bought one before. So this month I saw just one where I usually buy some foreign magazines and couldn't resist getting it! I don't understand a thing in Japanese (well... just some things I remember from my Japanese courses years ago, not to read a magazine though!) but I always love the inspiration that comes from Tokio(+Japan). I absolutely loved it, it' so well organized, clean and beautiful as you probably imagine. I wanted to share some of my favourite pages with you.

Do you usually buy any fashion magazines or do you have enough with the Internet?

Immagino di non essere l'unica che ha voglia di abiti autunnali, vero? Avevo visto qualche Vogue Japan al corso di Fashion Styling quando vedevamo le principali Vogue nel mondo, ma non avevo mai comprato una prima. Questo mese ho visto una dove compro le riviste straniere e non ho potuto resistere a comprare la mia. Non capisco il giapponesse (beh, qualcosa dei miei corsi di giapponese anni fa, ma di certo non per leggere una rivista!) ma mi è sempre piaciuta l'ispirazione che viene da Tokio(e Giappone). Mi è piaciuta tanto: è così bene organizzata, "pulita" e bella come sicuramente immaginate. Volevo condividere con voi alcune delle pagine che mi sono piaciute di più.
Voi, comprate qualche volta delle riviste di moda o avete abbastanza con Internet?

Seguro que no soy la única con ganas de llevar ropa de otoño ya, verdad? Había visto algún número de Vogue Japón en el curso de Estilismo, Imagen y Moda cuando analizábamos las principales Vogue en el mundo, pero nunca había comprado una antes. Este mes la ví donde suelo comprar revistas extranjeras y no me pude resistir a coger la mía. No entiendo el japonés (bueno, algo de mis cursos de japonés hace años, pero no para leer una revista!), pero siempre me ha gustado la inspiración que viene de Tokio(y Japón). Me ha encantado: está muy bien organizada, es limpia y muy bonita, como seguramente imaginéis. Quería compartir con vosotros algunas de las páginas que más me han gustado.Y vosotras, compráis normalmente revistas de moda o tenéi suficiente con internet?

Lastres is a beautiful village in Asturias, north of Spain. These days with such a caos in Madrid I dream about being there yet, with all that wonderful green landscapes that make you feel peaceful. Hope you all are having a great summer. To be honest, I just want September to arrive!

Lastres è un paese bellissimo in Asturie (Asturias), al nord della Spagna. Questi giorni con il caos che c'è a Madrid sogno che sono ancora lì, con tutti quei paesaggi verdi fantastici che ti fanno sentire così in calma. Spero che stiate passando una bellissima estate. Hecho mucho de menos Italia así que siempre que puedo voy con mis amigas a algún restaurante italiano donde podamos recordar sabores de ese precioso país que llegué a sentir mi segunda casa y siempre recordaré así.
Hace tanto calor en Madrid estos días que ni siquiera pienso en ponerme complementos que me molesten, así que voy vestida de la manera más sencilla posible... sin olvidar la genial mochilita de tela de Depeapa que me compré... no se separa de mí!
Por cierto, no dije nada, pero el mes pasado este pequeño blog cumplió 2 años! Quería dar las gracias de corazón a la gente que os habéis pasado por aquí alguna vez, los que lo leéis desde el principio, los que habéis llegado hace poco, a los que me comentáis y a los que leéis en silencio... además estoy muy contenta porque 800 personas le han dado a "seguir". No he tenido publicidad y voy bastante a mi bola, así que personalmente es un pequeño mérito, y si es así es gracias a vosotros! Lo mejor de ser blogger es sin duda el haber conocido a gente increíble, a gente con intereses similares a los míos y que se han convertido en amigos. Gracias, de verdad!

I miss Italy so much so when I can I always go with my friends to some Italian restaurant where we could remember some flavors of that wonderful country that I even felt as my second home and I will always remember it in that way.
It's so hot in Madrid lately that I don't even think on wearing accessories that could disturb me, so I'm wearing the most comfy clothes... don't forgetting this Depeapa canvas backpack tote that I love and doesn't leave me this days!
I didn't say anything but last month was the 2nd year anniversary of this little blog. I wanted to thank the people that has come here sometimes, those who read it from the beginning, those who arrived recently, those who comment and those who read in silence... I'm so happy because 800 people clicked on "follow". I've never had advertising and I'm much independent, so for me it's a little merit and I'm more than satisfied with that. The best thing about being a blogger is meeting interesting people, people with your same interests and became friends. Thank you guys!

Mi manca così tanto l'Italia che sempre che posso, vado con le mie amiche a qualche ristorante italiano dove potere ricordare dei sapori del vostro bellissimo paese che ho sentito come la mia seconda casa, e sempre ricorderò così.
Fa così tanto caldo a Madrid ultimamente che non penso a portare degli accessori che possano disturbarmi, quindi mi metto i vestiti più comodi... senza dimenticare questo zaino di tela che ho comprato a Depeapa poco fa e nn si separa di me!

Non ho detto niente ma il mese scorso questo piccolo blog ha fatto ben 2 anni! Volevo ringraziare di cuore a chi è passato di qua qualche volta, chi mi legge dall'inizio, chi è arrivato poco fa, a quelli che commentate ed a quelli che leggete in silenzio... sono anche molto contenta perché 800 persone hanno datto a "seguire" questo blog. Non ho mai avuto della pubblicità e vado abbastanza per conto mio, quindi per me è un piccolo merito, e se è così è grazie a voi!

When I'm not on holidays, like now, one of the things I like the most from summer is, as well as enjoying longer days, going out with friends, etc., is to wear dresses as they are so comfy and you don't have to think about matching them! They are super easy to wear and useful (+ I love dresses!).
This short jumpsuit from Pepa Loves (from sales!) does that function from the dress without being one. I wanted a short jumpsuit since long ago and when I saw this one I knew it had to be mine. ;)
I bought the glasses for a 50s style pic I had to do for the Fashion Styling course I did and I'm in love with them since then! Do you have some cat-eye glasses too?
I hope you'll have a great August... I have a lot of work this month so I'm in "zen" mode. ;)

Quando non sono in vacanza, come adesso, una delle cose che mi piacciono di più dell'estate è, oltre che godere i giorni più lunghi, divertirmi con i miei amici, ecc., è portare dei vestiti. Sono così comodi e non devi pensare a come combinarli! Sono facili di portare e pratici (e adoro i vestiti!).
Questa tuta corta di Pepa Loves (dei saldi!) fa quella funzione del vestito senza esserlo. Tempo fa volevo una tuta e quando l'ho vista sapevo che doveva essere mia. ;)
Spero avrete un agosto fantastico... io ho davvero tantissimo lavoro questo mese quindi sono in modo "zen". ;)

Cuando no estoy de vacaciones, como ahora, una de las cosas que más me gusta del verano es, aparte de poder disfrutar de días más largos, salir con mis amigos, etc., poder llevar vestidos por lo cómodos que son y porque no tienes que pensar con qué combinarlos! Son súper fáciles de llevar y prácticos (además de que me encantan los vestidos!).

Este mono de Pepa Loves (en rebajas!) hace esa función del vestido sin serlo. Desde hacía tiempo quería un mono corto y cuando ví éste supe que tenía que ser mío. ;)
Las gafas las compré para una foto años 50 que tuve que hacer hace meses en el curso de Estilismo y estoy enamorada de ellas desde entonces! Vosotras habéis caído en la tentación de unas cat-eye glasses este verano?
Espero que paséis un agosto genial... yo tengo muchísimo trabajo este mes así que estoy en modo "zen"! ;)

Sometimes we just need to switch off to come back stronger. To look inside of us and see what we want to do and what we don't want to. "Be yourself" is something easy to say but actually not so easy to internalize when there are millions of things coming up to our minds (and we have to focus in the important ones.) "Be yourself" is one of the bests, if not the best advice someone could receive so I'm trying to take it as my first motto: focus more in the positive things.

A volte dobbiamo rilassarci per tornare più forti. Per guardarci dentro e vedere cosa vogliamo e cosa nn vogliamo fare. "Essere te stesso" è facile da dire ma veramente nn così tanto di interiorizzare quando ci sono mille cose che abbiamo in mente (e dobbiamo puntare sulle importanti). "Essere te stesso" è uno dei migliori, se non il migliore consiglio che una persona puo ricevere, quindi sto tentando di farlo il mio primo motto: concentrarsi di più nelle cose positive.

A veces necesitamos desconectar para volver con más fuerza. Para mirar dentro de nosotros y ver lo que queremos hacer, y lo que no. "Ser tu mismo" es algo fácil de decir pero realmente no tanto de interiorizar cuando hay mil cosas que tenemos en la cabeza (y nos tenemos que enfocar en las cosas importantes). "Ser tu mismo" es uno de los mejores, sino el mejor consejo que una persona puede recibir, así que lo estoy intentando hacer mi primer lema: concentrarse más en las cosas positivas.

Just a quick post to show you some of my favourite pics of the new Ruche lookbook (you can see some more I have posted here). I have loved their lookbooks for months and now I know one of the reasons for it: the photographer! I will talk you about her soon.

Hi everyone! How are you??

I couldn't wait to write and read you all again! I'm finally back! :)
I wanted to share some pics of a shooting I've done with some friends: the first 2 pics are from the shooting and the others are of us... before eating those nice macarons!
I guess you have so many plans for the summer... don't you? I've done so many things in the lasts months that now I just want to be with my family and friends and enjoy it as it comes... without planning it. :)

Volevo mostrarvi qualche foto di un shooting che ho fatto con i miei amici, le prime 2 sono del shooting e le altre... beh, le altre le abbiamo fatto prima di mangiare i buonissimi macarons! ;)
Immagino che avrette tanti progetti per l'estate... vero? Io ho fatto così tante cose negli ultimi mesi che sinceramente ora voglio stare con la gente a cui voglio bene... dare il meglio così come venga... senza progetti in mente. :)

Qué ganas tenía de que llegara esta semana, por fin estoy de vuelta! :)
Os quería enseñar alguna fotos que hice para una sesión con mis amigos, las dos primeras pertenecen al shooting y las otras las hicimos antes de comernos los macarons, que nos supieron a gloria y sobre todo después de tantas horas de trabajo! ;)
Me imagino que tendréis muchos planes para el verano, verdad? He hecho tantas cosas los últimos meses que lo que quiero ahora es estar con la gente a la que quiero, y disfrutar de lo que venga... sin planes. :)

Sometimes we find some images that are so inspirational to us that we could stare at them for hours... that is what has happened to me with this editorial of designer Kelsey Genna... delicate fabrics, silk and tulle, dresses and clothes inspired by flowers and petals, with a light and atmosphere that touches me... do you like it?

A volte ci sono delle immagini che mi ispirano così tanto che potrei stare a guardarle per ore... questo mi è succeso con l'editoriale della designer Kelsey Genna... tessuti delicati, seta e tulle, vestiti ispirati nei fiori ed i petali, con una luce ed un'atmosfera che mi emoziona... vi piace?

A veces algunas imágenes me transmiten tanto que me las podría quedar mirando horas... Esto es lo que me ha pasado con la editorial de la diseñadora Kelsey Genna: tejidos delicados, seda y tul, para realizar vestidos y prendas inspiradas por flores y pétalos, con una luz y un ambiente que me atrapa... os gusta?

I'm sorry if I'm so behind from the blog and yours too... I have like millions of things to do apart from work with the Fashion Styling course + weddings this month... I'm all day working, then in class, 'til 22h then looking for looks for the pics of my works in class, running all day. Perdonad por ir tan retrasada con el blog y los vuestros también... tengo un millón de cosas que hacer aparte del trabajo, con el máster de Estilismo y bodas que tengo este mes... estoy todo el día trabajando, después en clase hasta las 22h y luego corriendo para encontrar ropa de los looks para mis trabajos de clase. Alexander McQueen - Savage Beauty (the inside)

I really wish I could visit this exhibition, organized by The Costume Institute in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY from May 4th to July 31st, but since it's not possible, you can see some of the pics of it and enjoy the art of this genius in the distance. :)
Just watching the pics in zoom and the wonderful fabrics gives me goosebumps... If you want to enjoy the inside of the exhibition you can see it here (you can also magnify the pics at Vogue's website so you can see the details better).

"Birds in flight fascinate me. I admire eagles and falcons. I'm inspired by feather but also its color, its graphics, its weightlessness, and its engineering. It's so eleborate. In fact, I try to transpose the beauty of a bird to women."

New York I

It's been a month since I first took a plane that crossed the ocean and arrived to NY, and when I see the pics I feel like it's been a dream. It's not a cliché but a feeling. Feelings, smells and images that come back to me in little doses so they don't go away. I have always been a dreamer and being in that city, I felt everything can become true. I could have never imagined I would celebrate my 26th birthday there, but there I was.
I will show you two more posts with some other pics of my trip, really hope you like them. :) In those posts I will try to tell you the places I loved the most too.

Well, definitely, the world is made for those who dream.

E' passato un mese da quando ho presso per la prima volta un aereo che mi ha portata a NY, e quando vedo le foto ancora penso sia stato un sogno. Non è un cliché ma una sensazione. Sensazioni, odori ed immagini che tornano a me a piccole dosi per non andare via. Sono da sempre una sognatrice ed essere in quella città, mi ha fatto pensare che tutto può diventare realtà. Mai avrei immaginato di festeggiare il mio 26 compleanno lì, ma così è stato.
Vi mostrerò ancora due post con altre foto del viaggio, spero vi piaciano. :) In quei post proverò anche a dirvi i posti che mi sono piaciuti di più.

Beh, non c'è dubbio, il mondo è fatto per quelli che sognano.

Ya ha pasado un mes desde que cogí por primera vez el avión que cruzó el océano y llegué a NY. Cuando veo las fotos todavía pienso que fue un sueño... no es un tópico, sino una sensación. Sensaciones, olores e imágenes que vuelven a mí en pequeñas dosis para no irse. Siempre he sido soñadora y estar en esa ciudad me hizo pensar que todo puede ser realidad. Nunca habría imaginado celebrar mi 26 cumpleaños allí, pero así fue.

Os enseñaré dos posts más con fotos del viaje, espero que os gusten. En ellos intentaré deciros también los sitios que más me gustaron.

Sin duda, el mundo está hecho para los que sueñan.

Top of the Rock Observation Deck is something you just can't miss when visiting the city. I went there early in the morning to see Central Park and the city by day (visited the Empire by night - gorgeous!).

Top of the Rock Observation Deck è qualcosa che non può mancare quando si visita la città. Io sono andata di prima mattina per vedere Central Park e la città di giorno (ho visitato l'Empre di sera - incredibile!).

Top of the Rock Observation Deck es algo que no puede faltar cuando se visita la ciudad. Yo fui pronto por la mañana para ver Central Park y la ciudad de día (visité el Empire de noche - increíble!).

Anthropologie was the shop of the trip. I felt in love with it. The visual merchandising is amazing, something I had never seen before. It's like being in a house you would love to live in. You might not like all the clothes there, but the decoration, not only what they sell but the shop decoration is simply GORGEOUS. Believe me!

Anthropologie è stato il negozio del viaggio. Me ne sono innamorata. Il visual merchandising è incredibile, qualcosa che non avevo visto prima. E' come stare in una casa dove ti piacerebbe vivere. Può darsi che non ti piaciano gli abiti, ma la decorazione, non solo ciò che vendono ma la decorazione del negozio è semplicemente BELLISSIMA. Credetemi!

Anthropologie fue la tienda del viaje. Me enamoré. El visual merchandising es increíble, algo que no había visto antes. Es como estar en una casa donde te gustaría vivir. Puede ser que no te guste la ropa, pero la decoración, no solo lo que venden pero la decoración de la tienda es simplemente PRECIOSA. Creedme!

Alix is a designer with one of the most beautiful and inspiring blogs I've ever seen. I knew almost anything in which she would collaborate will be beautiful too. She has collaborated with ETAM to design a lingerie collection made by lace, satin, light cotton, flowers of tulle, knots, etc., that will be available from April 22nd on ETAM (direct link here) and the following shops in France:

I'm in love with this blouse that you can use with a really simple outfit and will turn it into something original and even elegant.
At the beginning I wasn't sure about the colour of the pleated skirt but I think it's perfect for spring or even summer evenings... don't you think so?

I recently discovered a blog, a different way of seeing NY thanks to Australian illustrator James Gulliver Hancock.
As I visited New York last month and love illustration, thought it would be nice to share this beautiful and original idea with you all. :)

Ho scoperto poco fa un blog, una maniera diversa di vedere NY grazie all'illustratore australiano James Gulliver Hancock.
Visto che ho visitato New York il mese scorso e mi piace tanto l'illustrazione, ho pensato fosse una buona idea condividere con voi questa bella ed originale idea con tutti voi. :)

Hace poco descubrí un blog, una manera diferente de ver NY gracias al ilustrador australiano James Gulliver Hancock.
Ya que visité Nueva York el mes pasado y me gusta tanto la ilustración, he pensado que sería una buena idea compartir esta bonita y original idea con todos vosotros. :)

How do you guys describe a dream? Now I know what should I answer... it is New York. :)

I'm back from one of the most amazing weeks I have ever lived. Next posts will be a mix with some outfits, inspirations as always and also some pics from NY to come. For now, I hope you enjoy these pics I did at Magnolia Bakery shop in Bleecker (famous for Sex and the City).
